The domain Listnoir.org has been temporarily given over by its owner as a mirror for "The Scrolls of Alphalon" in case of a takedown of .net domains for criticising artificial 'intelligence' (which was threatened by the U.S. govt).
The author of this website is yours truly, Powell Quesne, an underground text game developer formerly known as 'Laroquod'. I was born in Brampton, Ontario, in the late 1960s amid 'generation X', which is a term that, as used by Douglas Coupland when pioneering its post-'Baby Boom' application, described characters born around 1961 to 1964. The end of that range got extended in the popular conception to encompass a full 20-year cohort from 1961 to 1981, as defined by William Strauss and Neil Howe in their seminal book, 'Generations'.
This adjustment was, I think, reasonable, because four years do not a 'generation' make but merely a high school. Decades later, the range defining 'generation X' got arbitrarily narrowed by the mainstream press, for reasons you could probably guess at, to entirely exclude the disaffected characters Coupland had written about. You'd be a fool, of course, to follow ethically vanishing journalists into whichever categorical redefinitions tickle their paymasters' fancy.
Me, I was born in mid-'gen X' whether you go by Strauss-and-Howe's first full range or by the post-millennial 'reimagining'. Check out my Twitter profile for more autobiographical info—that is, if the future trillionaires and their puppet governments are still allowing access to it by the time you read this. If/when my officially official 'X' profile gets cancelled, look for my tweets to be republished, eventually, here on this page.
I dedicate "The Scrolls of Alphalon"
to my mother, the kindest and most
generous person I have ever known.
